compositions, we wanted to help you in drawing
near objects and situations related among
them, to create the right atmosphere, collecting
them in a suitcase, like the fantasy contained
in a painting. |

This suitcase, unique object in
its kind, is made on purpose by
the Master Artisan Varetto
Boldrini to contain the nice
and precious things of Italy Rare
in respect for the age-old tuscan
tradition of the use of materials,
of the leather's quality and the
entirely manual techniques.
Each product is numbered and recorded
in his personal book by the Master.

The capacity to create baskets
is an ancient art that has its roots
in the prehistory, making austere
objects, almost primitive and essential,
being modernized with the creativity
of the Artist Artisans but being
linked firmly to the tradition.
The Master
Sestilio Silei has placed his
experience at disposal for the realization
of a bag interwoven with young osier
branches, exclusively for Italy
Rare.

| One "F. Balducci"

Much of the Balducci's
work combines the coarse finish
of the stoneware with oxidised iron:
clay and iron - The two primal materials
wich, worked with fire, have been
fundamental to art and culture since
the dawn of time. The red is a red
copper in reduction: it means that
it is obtained from the place impoverished
of oxygen, in the oven during the
fusion. If the enamel would be cooked
in a oxidative place would become
light green, cooked in reduction
becomes dark red : I call it "wine
red" but among ceramists it
is known as "ox blood".

Lino
Balotti wanted to go against
the general trend , he didn't give
in to the pull of big industry,
of the easy money , of the productivity
without soul. He have always worked
on his own, in his artisan workshop
with his family to search in the
past and to enhance the product
of his valley.
Using natural wool, cotton and flax
fibres, he started to weave with
old looms , some reconstructed watching
ancient drawings of engravings with
the help of archaologist friends
reproducing ancient works of arte

A hand-bound book according to
the old Florentine book tradition
of the artisan, Mr. Andrea Agostini.
The bindings are in natural leather
and it is printed in gold, at high
temperature.
Inside there are some poems chosen
exclusively by Roberto
Viani ...
