Much of my work combines the coarse
finish of the stoneware with oxidised
iron: clay and iron - The two primal
materials wich, worked with fire,
have been fundamental to art and culture
since the dawn of time.

The red is a red copper in reduction:
it means that it is obtained from
the place impoverished of oxygen,
in the oven during the fusion. If
the enamel would be cooked in a oxidative
place would become light green, cooked
in reduction becomes dark red : I
call it "wine red" but among
ceramists it is known as "ox
blood".
