BERTI CUTLERY WORKS: A
LONG STORY OF IRON, OF FIRE, OF ABLE HANDS
<<Hold these knives in your hands:
don't you perceive the passing of season,
the murmur of workers , don't you hear a
far voice, a voice that talks about a long
history of iron, fire and able hands?>>
(Andrea Berti)
I
MOZZETTI
The word "mozzetti" means the
knives without the point at the end of the
blade. The idea was to create a knife to
be used only to cut and that could be taken
freely, unlike common knives with the point,
typical of that period (the beginning of
20th century), in which the laws had become
more restrictive. There is a variant of
this knife with a concave blade, the "Rasolino",
used to cut cigars.
